M.ED FRENCH PROGRAMME (SANDWICH)
NATURE OF PROGRAMME/DEGREEE
The Master of Education programme in the Teaching of French as a Foreign Language (TFFL) is to run for two semesters as a regular programme or two long vacations (each from June to August) as a sandwich programme. It is mainly a taught course backed by Action Research.
The Master of Education degree in the Teaching of French as a Foreign Language will be awarded at the end of the course
Goals and objectives:
(a) To produce competent graduate teachers who can effectively teach French
- in Junior and Senior High Schools and Colleges of Education offering French programmes.
- To develop the academic competence and professional skills of teachers of French
- To give opportunity to teachers to up-date their skills and be abreast with up-to-date techniques of teaching/learning French.
- To develop teachers’ ability to undertake purposeful reflections on their every day teaching/learning activities\

Where are they in the country’s occupational structure?
The postgraduates are trained teachers. They are employed by the Ghana Education Service as Teachers at Junior High Schools, Senior High Schools and Colleges of Education
